REFLECTION

Experience
I've learnt so much in this module, especially paying attention to details when it comes to typography. I've learnt that it is not easy to develop a font and it could take years of development to come up with a font design. There were many takeaways from all the four tasks we were assigned to, but to name one, we had an opportunity to develop our own font but only with a few alphabet letters, that experience was more than enough to get a taste of the struggles of constructing letterforms and also the pleasure of seeing your font become a reality. I believe that the process is much more important than the results, because of the process I've only achieved the end results. 

Observation
I observed that using the right typography is crucial, to convey an effective message to the audience. I noted that this module made me a much more patient person when it comes to my designs, rushing is not the answer, as "detail" is an important factor for this module. I noticed that whenever I have a struggle or not having any progress on my work, I take a step back and watch a video or scroll through social media platforms to get inspiration or get my mind off of work.

Findings
I found that typography is a critical tool in visual communication. Typography is everywhere. Although I'm exposed to a lot typography in my life, I've never really look into letter constructions in depth before this module, but now I paid more attention to the typography around me everywhere. I believe the qualities this module have given me will be helpful for me in the future when I'm pursuing my career as a designer.
